# Getting Started with The Celestial Expanse's Movecraft -------------------------------------------------------------- > You may want to construct a basic StarFighter so you can Colonize a potentially more suitable Planet. > > Alternatively, you may reuse the Escape Pod as a StarFighter to lift off again, although you will need more fuel. -------------------------------------------------------------- ### **[Movecraft Vehicle Componets]** > All Ships require a few blocks to operate, these primarily include: > > ***Lift Blocks, Engine Blocks & Fuel Storage / Input*** > * *Lift Blocks* : Determine if the Vehicle can Pilot, and serves as the Crafts overall Hit Points. > * *Engine Blocks* : Determine if the Vehicle can Move. > * *Fuel Storage / Input* : May either be a Resonant Capacitor or a Normal Furnace. > *Basic Fuel Types* : Coal, Coal Blocks, Charocal, Dried Kelp Blocks. > > `All types of Fuel may also be used in Furnaces` > *StarFighters* Use `Wool Blocks` *or* `Wool Carpets` as *Lift Blocks*. > > *StarShips* And Larger use `Beacons` *or* the custom `Reactor Blocks` for *Lift Blocks*. > > All Craft Types May use `Redstone Blocks`, `Sea Lanterns` and/or `Any Froglights` as *Engine Blocks*. > > All Engine Blocks are Interchangable, this means you can use `Sea Lanterns` instead of `Redstone Blocks`, or a mixture. -------------------------------------------------------------- ### **[Constructing your first StarFighter]** > Setting a Vehicles Class is as simple as placing a sign and putting the desired type on the first line of a sign. > > To Build a simple StarFighter, these listed Materials are the bare minimum requirements for your first craft: > * *6 Wool Blocks* > * *1 Redstone Block* > * *1 Furnace* > * *1 Sign* > * *16 Filler-Blocks* (Planks or Slabs will probably do best, for now) > * *8+ Coal/Charocal* (Basic Fuel for Movement In-Atmosphere) > * (OPTIONAL) `Crystallized Radon`, a byproduct useful for Warping. Primarily obtained from Redstone Ore. > There is no limitation to the shape of the hull, so long as the block count is within the class size. use `/craftwiki` for more info. > > Once the StarFighter has been constructed: > > Put some Coal (Or Charcoal) into the Furnace, right click the Sign after putting in StarFighter on the first line, and you now have a craft. > > Note: Avoid trying to Pilot near blocks that may connect to the StarFighter. See `/craftwiki` for the allowed block-list. -------------------------------------------------------------- ### **[Ship HP & Stats]** > If your Ship loses too many Lift Blocks, it will sink or explode, and be rendered inoperable. > > On the contrary, if the Ship loses too many Engine Blocks it cannot Move, but may still use its Weapons & Other Components. -------------------------------------------------------------- ### **[Misc Tips & Tricks]** > StarFighters must be composed of `~22.5%` *Lift Blocks* to Function. > > StarFighters also require being made of `~2.05%` *Engine Blocks* in order to Move. > > You can make Wool with (4) String, and may be obtained from Grass Blocks, Short/Tall Grass, Ferns and Vines. > > The Stone Variants (Andesite, Diorite, Tuff, Calcite...) may also drop additional Raw Materials, depending on the Planet. -------------------------------------------------------------- ### **[Useful Utilities]** > Using the `/radar` Command, Your Vessel will list off any other crafts within your own's effective Contact Range. > > There are also Sounds ('Pings') to notify you if there is another Ship in your vicinity. > > The Overall Radar Detection is broken up into two factors, > > > > A Ships HUD is a useful tool for guaging the current Health of your Ships' Systems, along with other Stats or nearby objects. > > You can toggle/refresh the various HUDs through the `/hud` base-command. > > `/hud ship` is used in toggling or refreshing your piloted craft's status HUD. > > `/hud nav` is a useful tool for a visual cardinal directions while flying, as well as planet locations and contacts on your radar. > > `/hud tps` is a utility for viewing the Server's **TPS** (*How many Game-Ticks have ran in one second*), **MSPT** (*How many Real-Life Milliseconds it takes for a Game-Tick to pass*), and your personal **PING** (*How many Milliseconds it takes for a message to travel between the Server and your Game/Client, and back*).
